Bio
Lim Peng Huat is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (“ISCA”). He is also an Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax and Goods & Services Tax) with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals Limited (“SIATP”).
He has more than 30 years experience, gained in the United Kingdom and public accounting practices in Singapore. Prior to joining Complete Corporate Services Pte Ltd, he was with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore where he was involved in reviewing of business transactions and tax investigation assignments. He provided direct and indirect taxation advice to public companies and large private corporations on a range of issues, including cross border trade and operations, corporate restructuring exercises.
He has participated in dialogue sessions held by the Ministry of Finance. His special interest is in shipping and is regularly in contact with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore to discuss shipping tax issues.

Q: What is it about accounting and consulting that first drew your interest?
A: I started my public accounting career as an auditor. I enjoyed the frequent, personal contact I had with clients, as well as
learning about many industries ~ at companies of all sizes. I also developed an understanding of how finance departments
operate. I especially enjoyed helping my clients solve problems. Later, I got into accounting software and was able to apply my
knowledge of improving business processes to deploy accounting solutions that make companies more efficient and
competitive.
